THS Expands Presence in Charleston and Adds Two New Employees

THS Constructors In the News

THS Constructors, Inc, one of the Southeast’s leading design-build and contracting companies has expanded its footprint into the Charleston, SC market. Due to an increased presence and new projects in the area, the company has opened a new office and added a new business development executive employee for the region.

The new office, located in North Charleston, will serve all new and current projects in the Lowcountry for THS Constructors. The new location will house a new Business Development Executive, Cantey Hare and a new Project Manager, Robert Horner. While still headquartered in Greenville, SC, THS will coordinate projects throughout the State between the two offices, depending on location.

In December of 2019, THS was awarded the contract for the new Hellenic Center and Social Hall for the Greek Orthodox Church of the Holy Trinity at 11 Race Street in Charleston. The project will include a two-story administration and classroom facility, and a sing-story social hall with a commercial kitchen. The total project will be 23,083 square feet and will include the demolition of existing building. The official ground-breaking for the project took place on December 8th, 2019 following the church service.

The Hellenic Center project follows an increased presence in the Lowcountry for THS with The Citadel – Bastin Hall project, currently underway, and the recently completed Absolute Haitian headquarters in Moncks Corner, SC.

“Three years ago, we developed a strategy and growth plan for THS Constructors. A significant piece of that plan was to establish a strong foothold in the Lowcountry of South Carolina. To accomplish that goal, we pursued work that aligned with our experience, values and future growth plans. Opening our new office in Charleston is an exciting step in our continued growth and will help THS grow its portfolio throughout the State and the Southeast. We are excited to bring Cantey and Robert into the THS family and have them represent our company in Charleston. We’ve had record growth over the last 3 years, and our expansion into the Charleston market will only enhance that,” said Dana Emberton, President and CEO.

New Business Development Executive, Cantey Hare, comes to THS with over 30 years of experience in the construction and real estate markets. He will work with prospects and current clients for the company to pursue additional opportunities for growth.
